Coming with a large 6 inch display, you would need to consider you hand size before opting for this phone as it looks like it has been made for gigantic hands. The phone’s design isn’t something great to talk about but it is comes with the basic Asus inflections giving it a distinguished look. The screen bears a bit of shiny metal which adds a tinge beauty to its rest of the fine plastic body. Its quality is quite remarkable, the front glass is covered with Gorilla Glass 3 protecting it from any damage cause by rough falls. Also being highly scratch resistant, it is a treat for those who doesn’t like to hide their mobiles in covers or putting the protectors on.
Software and Zen UI
Running on Android 4.3, it definitely isn’t the latest Android version to get your hands on. However, showcasing an impressive UI, Zenfone cleanly comes out from this weak point. Zenfone 6 also features split drop-down notifications bar. This effortlessly enables you to look up to the settings controls and toggles as well as important notifications. This helps you to work easy on this big sized device.
Asus Apps and Performance
It wouldn’t be wrong if we say that Asus ZenFone 6 is truly made to entertain you as it comes with 2GHz Intel Atom Z2580 with 2GB of RAM. The plentiful RAM plays a good role in supporting the phone to perform well. And since it is equipped with the Intel’s Atom Z2580, it perform faster than what we get with Snapdragon 400. You can have a good time at playing games on the phone including high-end ones. The phone wasn’t found jerky at any point even when playing heavy loaded games. The combination of Z2580 and a 720p screen was found to be perfect for this phone. The picture quality appeared great producing colorful and bright images with impressive speed.
Camera
Though being a mid-price phone, Zenfone 6 has an outstanding camera sensor. Its main camera comes with 13-mega pixels which delivers excellent picture quality providing you with admirable pictures. Moreover, you get to have many extra modes such as HDR, Panorama and low light modes which are to form a true customizable Asus camera app.
The actual picture quality is quite good. With an environment with fine light, it captures fine images with impressive details. The color reproduction is also remarkable, better than what Zenfone 5 offers. So if you have forgotten your camera while visiting a great place, Asus Zenfone 6 won’t leave you dejected as it is a camera which seriously provides good images and lets you capture beautiful memories.
Battery Life
After discovering so much of its amazing features, we doubted about its battery life but to our surprise, the battery life also proved to be gigantic as the phone size. It packs a battery of 3300mAh unit. The battery life lasted for 1 whole hours when an MP4 video (720p) was played on the phone. Normal use produced best results however, it gets better when used moderately. However, you can’t remove the battery of this phone so the only option of powering up the phone is through charging, you can’t just replace battery when it goes empty.
Verdict
Well, if you ask us that whether buying this phone would really pay you off or not depends on your preferences. Firstly, considering it large size you might get a trouble of holding it. Hence, if you think you’ll be able to handle its large size then you should proceed. If you plan to have a phone which keeps you entertained with video-watching, gaming, chatting, browsing etc., then this phone is worth seeing.
Reaching to our final verdict, the 6 –inch giant is obviously not for everyone. The features discovered overall left a good impression. Honestly speaking, we couldn’t find any major drawback in the phone except it large display.
The design and performance was pretty good. The camera produced good picture quality, battery life was also found quite satisfactory. It is a phone that surely focuses on fulfilling your every need with dignity and style.
