Apple has been working on its 12-inch Retina MacBook Air for quite some time, and this long awaited Apple MacBook Air Retina is ready to be launched in early 2015. Apple has already updated its MacBook Air and Pro families this year, with slightly faster and more efficient processors, while also lowering their prices. Top of the list of wants for new models is undoubtedly the inclusion of a Retina screen. This even slimmer MacBook Air model will have retina display just like some of its MacBook Pro siblings. When you pack so many pixels into a display, over 3 million for 12 inch, the results are positively stunning. But the huge amount of pixels added for retina display drains all the battery, minimizing the fun and excitement. It was rumored that the new model of MacBook Air features a mysterious energy saving technology which will solve all such battery issues. However, the rumor has become truth as the new model of MacBook Air is powered by Intel’s latest wonder chip, the Core M. These chips feature advanced power consumption capabilities which means MacBook Air is finally gaining a Retina screen while retaining that eye catching ten hour battery life. The new Intel processor apart from being energy efficient is also supposed to be more powerful and efficient than previous generations, and does not require a fan for cooling, enabling Apple to offer a MacBook with slimmer chassis. The new MacBook Air is slimmer than existing 11.6- and 13.3-inch MacBook Air models, posing challenge to component makers’ technological capability.
The new MacBook Air’s new 12-inch model may replace the 11 inch version, giving customers the option of a slightly bigger screen, or it may replace the 13 inch model, where customers could instead opt for the comparatively priced 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display. There is a possibility that this thinner design will usher in support of a new USB Type C connector and possibly a new type of MagSafe charging. A feature which was somehow always been neglected by Apple is now covered in this model of Retina MacBook Air. Apple has considered to add iPhone’s Space Grey and Gold options to this particular MacBook Air model, in addition to the current aluminum version which is currently the only option for Apple MacBooks.
It would not be wrong to say that the new model of Apple MacBook Air will give a hard time to its competitors as it has the power to turn heads. Its features like groundbreaking retina display, all-flash architecture, latest Intel processor and remarkably thin and light design ensure to take the notebook to a place it’s never been before and they’ll do the same for everything you create with it.
